Springs are the most hardworking part of any garage door system. They handle the full weight of the door every single time it opens and closes. On a commercial door that gets heavy daily use, that stress adds up fast - and when a spring starts to go, the whole system feels it.

Here's what we were working with on this Salt Lake City job. The old spring was heavily corroded - rust running the full length of the coil, with uneven wear that made it clear it had been under stress for a long time. A spring in that condition isn't just inefficient, it's a liability. It can snap without warning and put serious strain on the opener, cables, and tracks along the way.

We pulled the worn spring and put in a fresh matched pair. New torsion springs are sized specifically to the weight and size of the door, so getting the right fit matters. Drop in the wrong spring and you're just setting yourself up for the same problem down the road - or worse.

With the new springs installed, the door moves the way it should. Balanced, smooth, and not working the opener harder than it needs to. For a commercial door that has to perform consistently, that reliability isn't a luxury - it's just how the door needs to function.

Worn or corroded springs don't always announce themselves with a loud snap. Sometimes it's a door that feels heavy, moves unevenly, or just seems like it's struggling. If your commercial door is giving you any of those signs, it's worth getting eyes on the springs before the problem gets bigger.
