My car is behind a broken Lehi door. Can I lift it by hand?
Probably not, and it's not worth attempting on a wide insulated door. Without the spring counterbalance you're lifting the full weight of the door with nothing holding it up if your grip goes. Say on the phone that a vehicle is trapped and mention whether you heard a bang, because that usually points straight at the spring.
One of my two doors failed. Is the other one about to?
Not necessarily. Both doors went up at the same time but they almost never have the same cycle count, because one of them does most of the work. The busy one reaching the end of its spring life says nothing definitive about the quiet one. It's worth checking while somebody is already there rather than assuming it either way.
Why did my door break on the coldest morning of the year?
Because it was already at the end of its count and the cold finished it.
